Disney on Ice will ‘Dare to Dream’ with Moana at The Q

Maybe it’s a Christmas present, or maybe it’s something you’ll hold out to get her to behave after the holiday.

Regardless, if you’re the parent of a little girl, you’re probably making plans to take her to the next Disney on Ice show to skate through town. “Dare to Dream” takes over Quicken Loans Arena for close to 15 performances Jan. 5 to 14. (Note to self: The Cavaliers probably are on a West Coast road trip then. Prepare for late nights watching basketball.)

My sources tell me (OK, fine — it’s from a news release) this show will see the namesake star of Disney’s 2016 animated adventure “Moana” “set sale on a life-changing quest to save her island with help from the demigod Maui.”

There will be other Disney faves, of course. Your hosts for the show will be those enduring mice Mickey and Minnie. Production numbers also will take audiences inside the world of “Beauty and the Beast,” I hear. (Cough, news release. Cough.)

Here are the performance times:

  • 7 p.m. Jan. 5
  • 11 a.m. and 3 and 7 p.m.  Jan. 6
  • 1 and 5 p.m. Jan. 7
  • 7 p.m. Jan. 11
  • 7 p.m. Jan. 12
  • 11 a.m. and 3 and 7 p.m. Jan. 13
  • 11 a.m. and 3 and 7 p.m. Jan. 14
