GE Lighting’s annual holiday lighting display will be illuminated through Jan. 1 and can be viewed from car or on foot.
This weekend is the last chance for visitors to get a closer look at a special display. For the first time in nearly 60 years, GE has opened the heart of Nela Park for drive-through displays, replicating real-life Nela Park holiday displays dating back as far as the 1920s, according to a news release.
Displays inside the park gates will be open to the public and accessible only by non-commercial passenger cars, trucks or vans on these remaining dates: 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 22 and 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 23.
More than a half a million LED holiday lights are used throughout the display, lasting 10 times longer than traditional Christmas lights and saving up to 80 percent in energy savings, the release stated.
The GE Lighting World Headquarters at Nela Park is at 1975 Noble Road in East Cleveland.
