Melt in Lakewood reopening pushed back

The original location of Melt Bar and Grilled at 14718 Detroit Ave. in Lakewood has been closed this month for extensive renovations. Owner and founder Matt Fish in an April 23 news release announced that the restaurant would be closed a week longer than anticipated.

The grand reopening had been planned for April 27, but is now set for May 4, due to an “unusually chilly, wet and snowy April.”

“Unfortunately, construction and delays go hand in hand,” Fish said in the release. “No matter how much we plan out our construction, there’s always the possibility of some unforeseeable thing throwing a monkey wrench in the gears. This cold and wet April certainly hasn’t helped our schedule but we’re still super-excited about all of the awesome upgrades and changes happening to the Lakewood location to make sure it is up to our standards of excellence!”

The grand reopening celebration begins at 11 a.m. May 4 with exclusive swag for the opening weekend.
