Did you know? World Cocktail Day is marked as the publication date of the first definition of a cocktail, according to William Grant & Sons.
That date: May 13, 1806. That definition: “Cock-tail is a stimulating liquor, composed of spirits of any kind, sugar, water, and bitters.”
The component in that definition of a cocktail resemble an Old Fashioned, and William Grant & Sons suggest celebrating by making one using Hudson Baby Bourbon: “The first New York aged whiskey since Prohibition is the perfect introduction to aged whiskey spirits with its vanilla and caramel tasting notes.”
This recipe is provided by William Grant & Sons.
