Ohio Star Theater stages ‘The Home Game,’ plans open house

Ohio Star Theater is celebrating its one-year anniversary with an open house from 2 to 8 p.m. May 11. Attendees to the open house will see the theater up close and enjoy light refreshments, while also being able to take advantage of a BOGO ONO ticket deal (Buy One, Get One for One Night Only).

Also, from 4 to 7 p.m., the cast of current musical “The Home Game” will perform for 10 minutes, every 30 minutes.

HomeGame_COVER“The Home Game” is the story of Levi, a young Amish man caught in the struggle between his father’s expectations for an Amish life and his dream of becoming a professional baseball player, according to a news release. The theater opened April 1, 2017, and is at 1387 Old Route 39 NE in Sugarcreek, south of Akron and west of Interstate 77. In addition to four musicals on stage this year, the theater also will host comedy and musical events, as well as concerts.
