Taste on the Lake to showcase Cleveland food and music

Cleveland Metroparks this week announced the inaugural Taste on the Lake presented by Sprint, set for July 7 and 8 at Edgewater Park in Cleveland.

Partnering with some of Cleveland’s finest local talent, Cleveland Metroparks will serve up a creative showcase of local food, beverages, arts and music. Vendors include notable Cleveland establishments featuring dishes from a variety of cuisines. Local and regional artists will have displays, demonstrations as well as artwork for retail. Live music from top local bands from the Cleveland music scene will take the iHeartRadio Main Stage each night.

General admission tickets are available presale for $20; one food and beverage sample is included with admission, according to the release. VIP tickets are $75 and include reserved parking, private restrooms, and eight food and beverage samples. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Cleveland Metroparks Trails Fund.

Also new this summer: In June, Cleveland Metroparks will have a free four-week Sunday concert series, “Lakefront Originals,” presented by Sprint. The music series at Centennial Plaza at Edgewater Beach will feature local talent performing original music, according to the release:

Each week, two bands will play from 4 – 7 PM. Bands who wish to be considered for inclusion in this year’s Lakefront Originals lineup, can submit an interest form through clevelandmetroparks.com/taste.

The public will have the opportunity vote online and select two Lakefront Originals bands to open on the iHeartRadio main stage at Taste on the Lake.

Stay tuned: The full chef, band and artist lineup for Taste on the Lake will be announced June 1, according to the release.
