Once summer arrives, beer steps back into the spotlight in Northeast Ohio, and an upcoming beer dinner will acquaint you with the best of the local craft beers while inspiring down-home Cleveland dishes to serve.
A collaboration — set for 6 p.m. June 13 at Sapore Restaurant, 8623 Mayfield Road, Chester Township— between chef Tim McCoy and brewer Karl Speisman will explore seasonal and mainstay beers from Brick and Barrel, Collision Bend, Noble Beast, Forest City, Hansa, Gold Horn and Cleveland Brewery.
They’ll be served with a Cleveland-style menu of walleye cake with arugula and remoulade; cabbage slaw with grill kielbasa and Stadium Mustard vinaigrette; braised pork belly pierogies with caramelized onions and créme fraiche; Eliot Ness Lager-marinated grilled beef loin with bacon and horseradish sauce; sautéed green bean with cherry tomatoes; cream cheese kolache; and cherry strudel with almond ice cream.
The 2.5-hour experience is priced at $60 a person plus tax and service. Reserve at 440-729-1110.
