What: JAMMS Midnight Moon Saloon, a bar and grill with a prohibition theme.
Where it’s located: 1808 North Ridge Road, on the south side of North Ridge Road (State Route 20), just east of Fairport Nursery Road in Painesville Township.
When it’s open: 3 to midnight Tuesday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday; 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday; closed Monday.
Why you should go: There have been quite a few attempts to make a go of it in this spot over the last 15-or-so years, and, with bands and DJs on the weekends and delicious menu options, JAMMS Midnight Moon Saloon certainly makes its case as the best of those efforts.

What you should eat: Wings were cooked perfectly and JAMMS sauce offered a tasty combination of several sauces. The beer-battered onion rings were also perfectly cooked with a distinctively homemade feel.
