The second Friday of every month, from 5 to 10 p.m., Walkabout Tremont showcases the best of the neighborhood’s creative side. Prosperity Social Club, at 1109 Starkweather Ave., is running a “Whiskey & Women” music series during the summer Walkabouts.
The pub is serving up bourbon- and whiskey-based cocktail and dinner specials to pair with the Americana-infused performances from 8 to 11 p.m., according to a news release.
The “Whiskey & Women” drink menu includes a Dark Rye Manhattan, Kentucky Mule, Bourbon Ricky, Blackberry Mint Lemonade and other sultry sippers. Repeat attendees have a chance to sample a rotating array of alcohol-inspired specials ranging from blackened bourbon chicken with whiskey cream corn and rustic mashed potatoes or bourbon glazed salmon with maple brown butter sweet corn and lemon dill potatoes to peppered sirloin with whiskey and mushroom pasta.
“Each show we’ll switch up our featured entrée specials, but we’re committed to one culinary constant—a maple bourbon banana pudding cake dessert,” owner Bonnie Flinner said in the release.
The remaining “Whiskey & Women” events are:
- July 13: Country/roots/blues vocalist and songsmith Rachel Brown and the Beatnik Playboys
- Aug. 10: Heartfelt vocalist and guitar-slinging songwriter Rebekah Jean
