What: Noodlecat is a fast-casual eatery that serves Japanese cuisine with a casual twist.
Where: 186 Union St. in Westlake, at Crocker Park near Yard House and Regal Cinemas Crocker Park 16 and IMAX.
When it’s open: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, but in the summer Friday and Saturday hours extend to 10 p.m.
Why you should go: Noodlecat is a great option for a quick, but chef-created bite. It is perfectly clean and comfortable, even ever so mildly hip.

What you should eat: The Hangover ramen bowl at Noodlecat was borderline-spectacular and gets even better as you make progress on the dish and can start mixing the elements together. The mad-scientists combination of pulled pork, bacon, kimchi, egg, garlic miso and a heaping pile of J Fries was complex and delicious, from the first few bites to the last.
