SHAC on TRAC an interactive arts event in Shaker Heights

The Shaker Arts Council (SHAC) is collaborating with the Shaker Heights Public Library to celebrate the end of the summer reading program, the end of summer, and arts in the community.

The second annual SHAC on TRAC – The Road to Arts & Community is 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Community Colonnade, on the corner of Lee Road and Van Aken Boulevard in Shaker Heights, according to a news release from SHAC. The event is “a celebration of our mission to build the community through the arts and to build the arts through the community,” according to the release.

Live music, strolling entertainers and an interactive art activity will be part of the afternoon. Participants in the art acticity will contribute to two mosaic sculptures for the Shaker RTA rapid station, according to the release.

The public is invited to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the free, family-friendly event.
