Christmas in July fundraiser at Great Harvest Bread to benefit A Special Wish

Mentor Great Harvest Bread Co. is raising funds for 10 local children battling life threatening illnesses to mark Christmas in July.

From July 23-28, customers are encouraged to add $2 to their purchase, which will go directly to The Anytime Fitness 24 in 24 benefiting A Special Wish – Cleveland, according to a news release.

As a thank you, Great Harvest will offer customers a cookie and an ornament to help decorate the lobby Christmas tree. Christmas decorations, holiday products and music, and prize giveaways including gift baskets and free bread will add to the festivities.

Here’s what Kris Lariccia, owner of Great Harvest Bread, had to say about the event in the release:

During the holidays, we always hear about people who need help. We want to bring that holiday spirit to the community year round and focus on those that need our help, now. So, we are asking customers to donate a couple dollars that will go to the 24 in 24 mission that is fundraising for A Special Wish. In exchange, we’ll give a free cookie and offer holiday flavors and fun!

Christmas is just 160 days away, but you don’t need to wait that long to get a taste of holiday favorites such as Merry Berry Bread, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Batter Bread and White Chocolate Cherry Swirl.  Those treats will be available at Great Harvest where holiday carols and decor will fill the atmosphere.

Mentor Great Harvest bakery is at 9440 Mentor Ave. Hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
