Lorain Historical Society hosting Ice Cream Social

Lorain Historical Society opens for tours its beautifully renovated Carnegie building and adds a dollop of ice cream with entertainment by The Amethyst String Trio at an annual Ice Cream Social from 1-4 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Carnegie Center at 329 W. 10th St. in Lorain.

Also, 10 recipes will be available for sampling while supplies last from the “Lorain Eats!” cookbook which can be purchased at the event or by preorder.

Visitors tour the Lorain Historical Society at last year’s ice cream social event.

Tickets cost $5 and are available by calling 440-245-2563 or by visiting the Carnegie Center.

The ice cream social is a way to get acquainted while raising money for the historical society in an old-fashioned fun way.
