‘Legally Blonde’ on stage at Geauga Lyric Theater

What: “Legally Blonde: The Musical”

Where: Geauga Lyric Theater Guild, 101 Water St., Chardon

When: 7:30 p.m. Aug. 17 and 18; 2 p.m. Aug. 19.

Why you should go: It’s the last weekend for this award-winning musical on stage in Geauga County, and it’s the Skip Kelley Production of the 2018-19 season, cast specifically with young adults. Skip Kelley was a former tech director and mentor of the youth at GLTG, according to a news release.

“This musical is actually a lot harder than it looks on the surface,” says director Trinidad Snider. “It would be difficult for an adult ensemble to put together, and we are trying to deliver that high-quality, professional performance with 26 teens and young adults. To be able to maintain the focus and energy to fully deliver a show like ‘Legally Blonde’ takes drive, passion and a ton of focus.”

How much: $18 for adults, $15 for senior/student, $10 for children and free for 2018-19 Geauga Lyric Theater season subscription members.
