What: The 2018 Cleveland Garlic Festival

When: noon to 8 p.m. Aug. 25 and noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 26
Why you should go: There is plenty to offer for your avid garlic lover the whole weekend while promoting North Union Farmers’ Market. Funds from the Cleveland Garlic Festival allow the market to operate weekly throughout the year in Greater Cleveland. With the help of 150 loyal farmers and producers, North Union Farmers Market will bring fresh, local, healthy food to more than 275,000 customers this year. And with events such as the Garlic Festival, they are able to reach both under-served and well-served populations of shoppers throughout Northeast Ohio.

Events, sites and smells throughout the garlicy weekend include garlic gourmet alley, beer and wine tents, an art gallery, live music all day, over 50 vendors and top chef garlic grill off both days. Also, offered for the kiddos is Mighty Locavores kid’s zone, which has many activities for them to enjoy a pedal tractor maze, cooking classes, Meyer Hatchery and Jungle Bob.
How much: $9 for adults, $5 for seniors (65+) and $5 for children 4 to 12 years old. Children under 4 are admitted free. Tickets are available here.
