What: 2nd Annual East Bank Bacon Festival
Where: Old River Road and West 10th Street, Cleveland
When: noon to 10 p.m. Oct. 6
Why you should go: The Flats East Bank and the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland are excited to bring a festival celebration for one the tastiest foods around: bacon. All bacon aficionados will be happy because the day features a large bacon-infused menu catered by local restaurants and chefs, paired with everyone’s favorite beers and live music all day, including The Big Bang dueling pianos. Not only does this event feature so much bacon goodness and fun, it also benefits the Hunger Network’s mission to fight local hunger in Cuyahoga County with 100 percent of proceeds from the event going to the organization. Nearly 10,000 people joined them at the East Bank of the Flats for the Inaugural event last year, raising over $46,000 to feed neighbors in need.
How much: The bacon festival is open to the public as a free event
