What: Brett Young – CMT on Tour: Here Tonight
Where: Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park, 10777 Northfield Rd, Northfield 44067
When: 8 p.m. Nov. 17
Why you should go: Brett Young’s music career may have only really taken off a couple years ago, but plenty of country music fans know his name and recognize his voice when it comes across their playlist. Brett Young has captured the hearts of fans everywhere through his honest lyrics and West Coast-meets-Southern sound. His self-titled album debuted at No. 2 on the Top Country Albums chart. His next album, “Ticket To L.A.,” will be released Dec. 7. Young has plenty of experience on the stage because he already has toured his way around the country with big names such as Thomas Rhett. His music will have you dancing and singing along, pulling on your heartstrings. He has the new country feel with that old country realness. While he’s alongside Tyler Rich, Nov. 17 will be a night full of good country music. Plus, guests are welcome to hit up the slots all afternoon before the concert, so why not make a day of it?

How to get more information: Find more information through the Rocksino or the event’s Facebook page.
My song choice: I like to pick a song that is not as popular just so you can get a sense more of who the artist is. I love “Left Side of Leaving,” an upbeat song about a breakup. It’s about a woman who is moving on and letting go of a past relationshipm and her ex-boyfriend has regrets about leaving. For anyone who has moved on from a hard breakup, this song will make you feel great. If you have been on the, as Young calls it, “left side” of that breakup, this song might hit you a little harder. But it is catchy and will get you swaying along either way.
