Auditions set for ‘The Gifts of the Magi’ at French Creek Theatre

Have you ever auditioned for a local play, just for the fun of it?

A family-friendly play, “The Gifts of the Magi,” is scheduled for auditions 2 to 6 p.m. Sept. 30 and 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 1 by appointment at French Creek Theatre at 4530 Colorado Ave in Sheffield.

The story of “The Gifts of the Magi” by O. Henry is about a penniless couple who tries to show love and devotion for each other.

For the cast, the theater seeks three men and three women who are strong singers.
Prepare a Christmas hymn or carol. The theater will provide an accompanist. Some who try out may be asked to stay to read from a script.

Rehearsals begin Oct. 29 with performances 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 p.m. Sundays, from Nov. 30 through Dec. 16.

For an audition, call 440-949-5200.
