It seemed more than a little late in the season to be getting word of a new show at the outdoor Cleveland venue Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica.
That’s because R&B star Leon Bridges has just booked a show there for the middle of next year.
And you can’t help but wonder if Bridges show on May 5 — the final one of the just-announced second leg of his headlining “Good Thing Tour” — will be the first of the season at Jacobs Pavilion. (For what it’s worth, the venue on the West Bank of Cleveland’s Flats has one more 2018 show listed on Ticketmaster — NF’s “Perception Tour” — on Oct. 9.)
The 29-year-old Texas native has had an impressive start to his career, with songwriting, successful albums and producing credits on his resume.
Most recently, according to a news release from concert promoter Live Nation, bridges released the official music video for his track “If It Feels Good (Then It Must Be),” produced by French music production company La Blogotheque (Arcade Fire, Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake). The colorful clip was shot in Paris and showcases Leon’s gift for dance (he studied choreography in college). Check it out:
Although this show isn’t for several months, you don’t have much time to spare if you want to ensure yourself good seats. Tickets go on sale Oct. 5 through Ticketmaster.
