With a long tradition in the Chagrin Valley, the prestigious yearly exhibit features artists from dozens of cities within a 250-mile radius of Chagrin Falls. The show includes works of art in traditional mediums such as oil and watercolor as well as fiber, printmaking, mixed media and more. This year, nearly 450 works of art were entered in the competition. It was the first time Valley Art Center asked for submissions to be made online instead of in person.
Submitted art will judged by three local fine-art professionals: Lee Heinen, Liz Maugans, and Christopher Richards. Cash awards will be presented at the opening reception. Annual awards for this exhibit include Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, and several community sponsored awards: The Hardy Watercolor Award, The Phyllis Lloyd Memorial Award, The Stan and Hope Emerling Watercolor Award, The Elise and Byron Lutman Award, and the Frank and Yolita Rausche People’s Choice Award.
