The annual Community Day Festival at the Schedel Arboretum & Gardens in Elmore is planned for May 11 from 10am until 2 pm at the 17-acre garden estate . The festival is free and open to the public and will proceed rain or shine.
More than 60 demonstrations and vendors will be on hand for visitors to experience activities ranging from free hayrides to face painting.
Activities on tap at the festival this year include a pottery demonstration by Packer Creek Pottery of Genoa, a wool spinning demonstration, a bonsai demonstration, Nature’s Nursery & the Toledo Zoo will have unique animals for the kids to see, plus experts on hand to answer questions about tree trimming, gardening and landscaping.
Schedel Gardens will be collecting canned goods in lieu of admission. Parking is free. Get details here.
