On July 20, women will rule Cleveland.
Or, at least, female rockers will rule House of Blues’ Music Hall and Foundation Room venues during “Women Rock CLE.”
Says a news release from event promoter Live Nation:
An annual music festival consisting of the best up-and-coming female-fronted acts Northeast Ohio has to offer, Women Rock CLE’s mission is to elevate the reach of Cleveland musicians while also benefiting local organizations who serve women in our community. The 3rd annual Women Rock CLE hosted at the House of Blues Cleveland consists of two stages, 10 bands, and proceeds go directly to Laura’s Home – a shelter supporting women and children in need. Seeing a disconnect in the Cleveland music scene between male lead and female-fronted bands, the event was founded to help raise the profile of woman musicians and their band members. Women Rock CLE is dedicated to highlighting bands across the spectra of contemporary music.
