Hobo Day is July 27 in Painesville

Painesville Railroad Museum sets a pot or two on an open fire for Hobo Day 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 27 at 475 Railroad St. in Painesville.

Cuisine includes hobo stew and hobo beans cooked over a wood fire. Hamburgers and hot dogs also are available. Visitors are encouraged to wear hobo costumes.

The Miracle Band performs live 1-3 p.m.

Author Barbara Hacha will talk about hobo life and will sign copies of her book, “Line by Line, Mulligan Stew (Stories and Traditions of American Hobos), and Sidetracks.”

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children and $12 per family.
