How would you like to spend an evening with Edgar Allan Poe?

James A. Garfield National Historic Site presents a 10th anniversary of “An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe” at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Oct. 17, 18, and 19 at 8095 Mentor Ave. in Mentor.

Baltimore-based actor David Keitz takes the stage portraying Poe, a favorite fiction author of President and Mrs. James A. Garfield.

The 6 p.m. shows feature renditions of the epic poem “The Raven” and the story “The Tell-Tale Heart.”

The 8 p.m. shows feature the poem “The Raven” and the story “Hop-Frog.”

Tickets cost $25 per person per show and include a tour of the Garfield home. Tickets go on sale at noon on Sept. 8.

Online purchase is the only way to buy tickets this year. Also, for the first time, tickets may be purchased online through the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Visit www.conservancyforcvnp.org/garfield and follow the Eventbrite links to purchase tickets using a credit card.

The event is intended for people ages 16 and older.
