Santa train of Lorain and West Virginia Railway offers nostalgic memories, old and new

Santa will visit with riders on the L&WV Railway vintage passenger train that pulls out precisely on time from the train station at 46485 State Route 18 west of Wellington.

Dates available for the train rides include Nov. 29, 30; Dec. 6, 7, 13, 14, 15.

The train leaves the station at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Fridays, and at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturdays.

Also, the train leaves at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Dec. 15.

Complimentary warm hot chocolate is available in the vintage railway station.

All children will receive a bell.

Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for all children under 12 years old and $10 for senior citizens.

The rides serve as a fundraiser for the Lake Shore Railway Association involved in train and depot restoration.
