Rascal Flatts to bid farewell to Northeast Ohio with Blossom show in September

Truthfully, we’ve known Rascal Flatts — a huge country-music act that originated in Columbus — would be playing Sept. 4 at Blossom Music Center since Live Nation released the slate of shows on its 2020 Country Megaticket lineup in mid-January.

But it’s nice to have it official-official.

Feb. 17 brought a Live Nation news release announcing not just the show but also the openers: Chris Lanewho’s set to headline a show Feb. 20 at House of Blues Cleveland — and King Calaway.

As fans probably know, this, theoretically, could be their last chance to see Rascal Flatts, as the group is calling the summer-fall jaunt the “Farewell: Life Is a Highway Tour.”

Here’s what the release says about the tour:

Together, the trio and their fans will reflect on a beloved catalogue of hits including “Bless The Broken Road,” “My Wish,” “What Hurts The Most” – always soulful, engaging and delivered with a positive, universal message – as well as a string of success that places Rascal Flatts among the modern musical elite.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 21. Begin your hunt for them here.

By the way, if you want to make the trip to see the band in Columbus, they’re set to rock Nationwide Arena on Sept. 25.
