As Tuesday mornings go, this one’s been pretty rock ’n roll.
Burning into the ol’ email inbox this morning shortly before this writing was an announcement from event promoter Live Nation that rockers Breaking Benjamin will play Blossom Music Center Aug. 2, with Bush, Theory of a Deadman, Saint Asonia and Cody Marks also on the bill.
Says a news release:
BREAKING BENJAMIN is touring in support of their vast catalogue and latest release, AURORA, which showcases reimagined versions of the band’s biggest and most popular songs, including “Dear Agony” as well as “So Cold” and “Red Cold River,” both of which were #1 rock radio hits. AURORA also features multiple special guests, including Lacey Sturm (exFlyleaf), Spencer Chamberlain (Underoath), and Scooter Ward (Cold) who joins the band on the album’s current single, “Far Away,” which is currently Top 10 at rock radio.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. March 6 at LiveNation.com.
At the risk of sounding like an infomercial pitchman, “but wait, there’s more!”
Live Nation also announced this show will be one of three comprising its Ticket to Rock package at Blossom. The two other late-summer shows are Disturbed, with Staind and Bad Wolves, on Aug. 21; and Korn and Faith No More, with Helmet and ’68, on Sept. 13. (While the news release talks of four- and five-show packages, those would appear to be applicable to venues in other markets included in the promotion.)
The three-show packages start at $59.
